At SLA, students work through a focused core curriculum in reading, math, science, and social studies, supported by trusted digital tools like Achieve3000, Big Ideas Math, HMH Science, and HMH Civics, all accessible through our Clever-based learning portal. Beyond the core, students choose from electives that build practical, real-world skills — from Art and Digital Discoveries (an intro to computer science) to Culinary Careers, Conversational or High School Spanish, Physical Education, and our signature Leadership Fit course, which blends fitness, goal-setting, and personal growth.
Learning doesn't stop in June — SLA offers optional (but encouraged) Summer Reading and Math plans through IXL and Google Classroom, giving students a head start each fall.
