Student Leadership Academy

The mission of the SLA Renaissance Program is to make recognition accessible for all students with focus on a sense of pride in academics and social achievements, continuous improvement, citizenship, positive behavior, strong attendance, and service for our community.

Renaissance helps students reach their full potential as we prepare them for democratic citizenship in our global society. Students have the opportunity to set their sights on a goal and learn how to set it into action and achieve their goals. Renaissance increases enthusiasm among staff members, highlights teamwork, and places emphasis on the importance of educators touching students’ lives. Another primary goal is to increase student performance, teacher enthusiasm, and raise the level of community participation in schools.

• Increase faculty/staff involvement

Red Card:

• 3.5-3.9 GPA

• No failing grades

• No SAMs or referrals

• No more than 5 unexcused absences

• Completed volunteer hours
  (Must be turned in on time!)

White Card:

• Improvement on GPA of .5 or more from previous quarter

• No failing grades

• No SAMs or referrals

• No more than 5 unexcused absences

• Completed volunteer hours
  (Must be turned in on time!)

• Free item from cart!
• Monthly treat at lunch!
• Renaissance t-shirt!
