Some of our best lessons happen outside the classroom.
From time to time, SLA takes part in special projects and community campaigns that go beyond our everyday academics. These moments give students a chance to roll up their sleeves, work alongside neighbors, and see firsthand what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Whether it's helping a local organization prepare for a big event or contributing to a cause that matters to our community, these projects reflect what SLA stands for: scholarship, leadership, and service, put into action.

Volunteer & Service Gallery
Pumpkin Unloading at Grace
SLA students teamed up with Grace On the Island to unload and set up their annual community pumpkin patch, a local fall tradition that supports the church's outreach programs. It was a fun, hands-on way for students to give their time to a neighbor doing good work in Venice.
Painting Turtle Stakes
Venice's beaches are home to nesting sea turtles each year, and SLA students helped paint the stakes used to mark and protect their nests. This small project made a real difference for local conservation efforts, right in our own backyard.
