Feel Like Home
Every hour given here comes back to a student.
For Parents
When you volunteer at SLA, your student notices. It shows them that showing up for others is something worth doing, not just something adults talk about. Volunteering also gives you a chance to build real relationships with teachers, staff, and other families, the kind of connections that make a small school feel like a true community.
For Students
Volunteering teaches lessons that classrooms alone can't. Whether it's helping at a school event or serving through a community organization, students build confidence, responsibility, and genuine relationships with the people they serve alongside. Those connections often turn into some of the most memorable parts of the SLA experience.
