ESE Liaison
Hello, I’m Jamie McNeil, the Exceptional Student Education Instructional Facilitator, also known as the ESE Liaison.
I graduated from Florida Southern College in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. My first teaching position was at Murdock Middle School in Port Charlotte, where I worked as an ESE teacher in a resource room from 2000 to 2006. In 2006, I joined the staff at the Student Leadership Academy as a math teacher. The following year, I took on the role of ESE Liaison, a position I have held ever since.
I have several certifications and endorsements, including Exceptional Student Education, Mathematics 5–9, Elementary Education, Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum, Reading, ESOL, and Specific Learning Disabilities.
Although I’m originally from Ohio, I consider myself more of a Floridian, having lived in Florida for most of my life. It’s where I built my career, married my husband, and raised our athletic, self-driven daughter, who also attended SLA.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time with family and friends.
