Student Leadership Academy

I am a Florida native born and raised in Tallahassee.  I have a Bachelor of Science with a focus on Chemical Science, a Master of Library Science, and a Master of Business Administration all from Florida State University.

In 2004, my family relocated to North Port.  After working in the business world, my love of math is what drove my career change to become a middle school math teacher. I started teaching math at Student Leadership Academy in 2014. 

I have a passion for learning and a quest for knowledge.  This quest has led to my diversified academic background.  As I explored different academic disciplines, I seemed to be drawn to mathematics.  Encouraging and supporting students as they explore Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 Honors while witnessing their growth and personal success is why I teach.  There is no greater joy than a student’s smile.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and working in the yard.
