Science

I'm excited to begin my 2nd year at the Student Leadership Academy, bringing 18 years of science and social studies teaching experience from both coasts of Florida and my roots in California. My career has taken me from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale and, most recently, to Ashton Elementary in Sarasota, where I spent eight years building engaging, hands-on learning environments for students. Each new community has shaped my teaching style, and I've found that middle schoolers especially thrive when science feels active and fun rather than just textbook-driven. I'm grateful to be part of the SLA family and look forward to continuing to grow alongside this wonderful community.
