Hello. My name is Mrs. Mandy Howard and this is my 29th year teaching art to 5-8 graders and my second year at SLA. I am a painter and love painting abstract landscapes, especially of the beach. I also love art history and visiting museums and galleries.
My husband, Scott, and I moved here from Columbus, Ohio in 2025. Our daughter, Emma still lives there but she visits as much as she can! I have two amazing pups, Tucker (chihuahua mix) and Indie (chihuahua).
In my free time, when I am not teaching, I am making art, collecting shells, cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes, and spending time with my family and friends. I love Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar, traveling to NYC to visit my brother, Joel, and reading historical fiction.
